It's all about the clause! - T2W2

Walt : analyse the structure of a sentence.

Task description :
In this task we are learning more about clauses, but instead we have learnt about independant and dependant sentences and how they are used.
Independant sentences can make sense on there own, while dependant sentences dont so furthermore they are the sentence that give more detail.

  1. Hi Chance,

Remember there can be more than once clause in a sentence, but sometimes there are more verbs than clauses. If it was Hone hopped, skipped and jumped for example. In the case of Jennifer the two clauses are: Jennifer was walking through the alleyway/ When she heard a loud noise.
You can tell the second clause doesn't make sense on its own so it is dependent.

    1. Hey Mrs Stone !
Thank you for pointing that out for me :) I've taken notice of that and have noted it in my book for reminders !
I need to remember to analyse the sentences properly.

Thank you for the advice :)

      Kind regards,
      Chance
