Baby Pink - Writing Poems

WALT: Use strong vocabulary and rhythm.

We have been learning how to write poems. My poem is about the colour baby pink. It's a calm, relaxing colour so I thought it would be nice to write about, rhythm is one thing all poems have to have. It was really fun doing this.

Polyfest: Fourty-fourth year!

WALT: write effective introductions to our essays

Do know what polyfest is? Polyfest is a cultural big event here in New Zealand. It contains alot of food stalls, heaps of performances, and alot of freebies! Alot of schools get invited too, where they go to a schoolsday event. There are alot of activities that include prizes too. This event has been happening for fourty-four years. Crazy right?!

When heaps of schools come together, we all cooperate in a schoolsday event. This schoolsday event includes alot of fun activities! Like skipping rope races, finding the islands, we do dance challenges, and we also do fun other challenges that help us win prizes!

Secondly, the best thing is all the yummy food! During polyfest, you know you cant miss all those food stands waiting for us. They are many things like dumplings, soft drinks, smoothies, ice cream, all you can eat! Mostly you can't miss the seafood stands!

Thridly, the stages. Those are the best things to be there for. Alot of colleges perform cultural dances, and they do alot of comps. There were stages for, samoan groups, maori groups, cook island groups, tokelau groups, and alot more.

Overall, you should really go sometime. Its real fun! You'll have heaps of fun eating, meeting new people, and having alot of fun watching some performances. It's totally worth it!
