Comparing Myths - Inquiry 2020

Task Description:

For todays task we are comparing all the myths that we learnt about last week :) 

I chose three which are: Paul Bunyan (America), The Dragon's Eye Lake (Croatia) and Hermes Invents Fire & The Lyre (Greece).

1 new thing I learnt was that greek people worship different gods and goddesses for different reasons.

Spaghetti Tower - Literacy 2020 T3W2

Task Description:

Today is our first day back in our literacy class! :) 

For today we have done a really exciting task !

Our task merely just focused on making a spaghetti tower and working together aswell as communicating, all in which wilson is really strong at doing.

We were given 10 minutes to think of an idea on how to make our tower stable and actually work >:)

In the end, our tower unfortunately didn't quite work and snapped :(

but it all just depended on how we worked together ! 

:)

The 1 Million Pound Note - Literacy 2020

Task Description:

For our task today we have been reading a story named the $1,000,000 Bank-Note by Mark Twain. In our story we are introduced to a character named Henry Adams who has been chosen for a bet. :)

America - Paul Bunyan T3W1

Task Description:

For today's task we are learning all about Paul Bunyan!

Paul Bunyan is a american legend that tells about a Lumberman named Paul Bunyan who was known for his great height and skills in the woods.

Croatia - Dragon's Eye Lake T3W1

Task Description:
For today's task we are focusing on Croatia.
Our myth told today is all about the story of how the Dragon's Eye Lake formed.
Our story tells us about a dragon named Murin.
The Dragon's Eye Lake is known for giving blessings on couples granting them eternal love.
Me & Leilani have made a poster together on facts we gathered up after learning about the story :)

Cambodia - A World Of Difference T3W1

Task Description:

For today's task we have focused on cambodia's myths and legends :)

Todays legend was the legend of Lightning, Thunder and Rain.

Our main characters in the story were Lok Ta, Moni Mekhala, Vorachhun, and Ream Eyso. The original story is called 'The Goddess and The Ogre'.

It's our last week for term 2!

It's been a crazy start of the year don't you think ?
